Walls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">The polis\u2014understood here as a walled reserve of bios that feeds on the <em>zoe\u0304<\/em> beyond its walls (<a href=\"https:\/\/locusterribilis.com\/en\/2025\/12\/18\/-0-10-excepcion\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"165\" target=\"_self\">0.10<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/locusterribilis.com\/en\/2025\/12\/20\/-0-12-homo-sacer-y-devotus\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"175\" target=\"_self\">0.12<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/locusterribilis.com\/en\/2025\/12\/27\/-0-19-ambiguedad\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"206\" target=\"_self\">0.19<\/a>)\u2014is an evolution of the domus whose primal expression is the domestication of nature (0.23, 024). Thus, the <em>paradeisos<\/em>, as an expression of the simultaneous extension of the <em>domus<\/em> and of human dominance, is the underlying topology of all human urban centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">In view of the foregoing, the structure of the walled city (<em>urbs<\/em>) of early modernity is reproduced in a fractal manner in all modern cities in the center-suburb-periphery structure (<a href=\"https:\/\/locusterribilis.com\/en\/2026\/04\/28\/\u00a7-0-28-cerrarse-sobre-si-mismo\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1140\" target=\"_self\">0.28<\/a>) that gave rise to a new type of ghetto whose walls are no longer built of brick and mortar but of alterity, economic inequality and discriminatory legal practices. This is the situation of the slums, the favelas and the containment or tolerance zones that surround all modern urban centers, \u201cghettos\u201d in a broader sense of the term, which have emerged spontaneously on the periphery of cities fed by the secular ferment of racism, classism and poverty, without the need of an official decree. Their spontaneous and widespread appearance lies in the fact that they are structures implicit in the dynamics of domination and sovereignty of the urban <em>topos<\/em> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">An analogy: <em>bios<\/em> is to the self that lives walled within the polis as <em>zoe\u0304<\/em> to the alterity forced to dwell in its periphery, between the city and its wastelands.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La polis \u2014entendida aqu\u00ed como una reserva amurallada de bios que se alimenta de la zo\u00e9 proveniente de extramuros (0.10, 0.12, 0.19)\u2014, es una evoluci\u00f3n del domus cuya expresi\u00f3n primigenia es la domesticaci\u00f3n de la naturaleza (0.24, 0.25).
